This was opened in year 1st of September 2001. The very first head mistress was Puan Nurul Aini bt. Ambak. The very first
pack of student started the school term in January 2002, this is also the time when "SMK Seksyen 1 Bandar Kinrara"
name was used.
At first, the school got 46 teachers, 3 clerk and one lab assistance. This school was build next to the Puchong-Sungai
Besi Highway. It was called Sekolah Menengah Seksyen 1 Bandar Kinrara because it is the main secondary school in Sektor 1
of Bandar Kinrara.
